In a significant move towards enhancing national development and fostering collaboration between key governmental agencies, the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), H.E. Silas Agara, paid a visit to the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, at his office.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in aligning the efforts of these two organizations to tackle unemployment and boost economic growth across the nation.

During the visit, H.E. Silas Agara unveiled the 93,731 Jobs Initiative of the NDE, a visionary effort aimed at empowering communities across the nation.

This initiative entails recruiting 10 individuals per ward through an online platform, thereby creating employment opportunities for unemployed persons in the country.

The program is designed not only to address immediate job scarcity but also to cultivate a sustainable workforce that can contribute meaningfully to the economy.

Responding, DG NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, expressed admiration for the NDE’s laudable efforts and affirmed his commitment to offering unwavering support to the NDE throughout the programme’s execution.

He emphasized the collective responsibility of governmental agencies to work together towards a common goal of fostering national prosperity.

By pooling resources and expertise, both agencies aim to create a more profound impact on the communities they serve.

In display of solidarity and partnership, the DG NOA pledged to extend every assistance the NDE might require in the course of this programme.

He further lauded the NDE’s commitment to national progress and announced his forthcoming visit to the NDE office to explore more avenues for deeper collaboration.

Additionally, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu revealed that the NOA is about to launch a comprehensive nationwide publicity campaign and eagerly offered to assist the NDE in disseminating information about the 93,731 Jobs Initiative at the grassroots level.

This campaign will ensure that the target audience is well informed about the available opportunities, thereby maximizing participation and engagement from the community.

Furthermore, the collaboration between NDE and NOA extends beyond just the 93,731 Jobs Initiative; it seeks to establish an enduring partnership aimed at creating a pathway for sustainable job creation and economic empowerment across various sectors.

Both agencies plan to work hand-in-hand to foster skills development programs, where community members can gain vital skills and knowledge necessary for employment in today’s rapidly changing job market.
